About Kevin Kroeber

Fine Artist

Kevin Kroeber was born and raised in California.  He moved to Minnesota in 1982 to study art at the School of the Visual Arts in Saint Paul.  In 1983 he enrolled in the art department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There he received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Arts Degree, and a Master of Fine Arts Degree.  Kevin’s was trained as an abstract expressionist, but of late, has moved toward a more realistic style studying French Realism at the Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. He is currently exploring the concept of the human condition in an array of allegorical pencil and charcoal drawings.

Kevin is also an art enthusiast as he has chaired and sat on nonprofit art boards, he is one of the original developers of Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, Mankato, MN, coordinated youth service and art groups; participated as an artist-in-resident with school district 77 of Mankato, MN teaching portrait drawing to youth in grades K-6 producing over three hundred portraits.  Kevin developed an after-school art program for the YMCA of Mankato, MN that focused on teaching youth the communicative element in art making, and has exhibited artworks nationally to include New York, Arizona and Nevada. 

Kevin teaches art workshops and private painting and drawing lessons in his studio. Kevin is self-represented and all of his work is for sale. He is open to portraiture commissions, and private to group studio study.
